Mister Stéphane Bergeron

Once upon a time, there was an artist who colored people's life he loves.

Some of you may recall a few years ago we featured the work of Canadian artist, Jean-Louis Mireault in the Guild journal. Well we received news that he has received an honour from the Queen on her visit to Canada during her Golden Jubilee year. He was awarded the medal for making a significant artistic contribution to Canada, his community and to his fellow Canadians and he was among only 30 people in his region to be given the medal by Her Majesty.
He sent us a very nice email us to tell us about it and also to proffer his thanks to the Guild "... it is because of my international recognition as a silk painter (you have a responsibility in that fact) that this medal was given to me. I want to thank you for this help in my artistic career."
